Durban, South Africa (24 April 2025)<\/em> – One of our readers has left us with the widest of smiles after sharing how her mother and resident of Pinehaven Retirement Village, Patricia Levarelli, went out of her way to cheer up the lives of the elderly this past Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n Although daughter Claudia Levarelli initially considered disowning her 74-year-old mommy dearest upon discovering that she\u2019d decided to dress up like the Easter Bunny for the day, that thought quickly went out the window when she saw the joy it brought to all the other oumas and oupas.<\/p>\n Patricia, who also happens to be the retirement village\u2019s chairlady and head of entertainment, put on quite a show as she did her rounds to all the elderly folk while sporting bunny ears, a fluffy tail, a leotard and a basket in hand, while delivering Easter eggs.<\/p>\n Despite mixed feelings of humour and slight embarrassment, Claudia was mostly touched by her playful mom\u2019s antics, and they made a difference in the lives of oldies who long for love and joy to fill their days.<\/p>\n \u201cI had to share this story about my mother,\u201d Claudia tells us.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMom, I take my hat off to you, well done for bringing a smile and cheer to some of the folk, who often on a day like today wouldn’t have any visitors.
